The eruption advisory for the Mount Cleveland volcano has raised fears of new air travel chaos. Mount Cleveland Volcano is below the major airline route that could be affected by the possible eruption. The Mount Cleveland on the Chuhunadak Island looks set for the first big eruption in over 10 years. According to Alaska Volcano Observatory thermal anomalies detected by the satellite suggests that volcano could erupt anytime and spew ash 20,000ft in air without any warning. The volcano lies under the commercial airline path between North America and Asia. Several major airlines in United States use this path to connect with Asia. In the situation of eruption, there could be huge air travel chaos. Since Alaska Volcano Observatory is completely relied on satellite, it could be very difficult to detect ash cloud in case of eruption. This could be the second big air disruption this year after the Chile Volcano eruption that cancelled hundreds of flights in South America and Australia. Source: Easy Destination Blog
