New York: American television courtroom drama ‘Law & Order’ is reportedly planning to air an episode based on the assault case of former International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, showing a prominent European being arrested over rape charges. Italy-born veteran screen and stage actor Franco Nero, who appeared in last year's film "Letters to Juliet" with his wife Vanessa Redgrave, stars as an Italian dignitary at the centre of a criminal sex scandal, The Telegraph reports. Although a source close to the show said that the episode was inspired by the sensational Strauss-Kahn case, a spokesperson for the production company behind "Law & Order" claimed the show to be pure fiction.
