Nothing to love about | Screen India

Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani
Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani is supposedly inspired by the Twilight series.
Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani, Monday to Friday, 8.30 pm, Star One, Ekta Kapoor claimed to have changed the script of this one some seven times, fired incompetent writers and wasn’t satisfied till she locked the written word. Alas! Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani doesn’t count for all that effort. It follows the template of most Star One shows. A bunch of young things (can’t call them actors) dispassionately mouthing lines interspersed with typical today lingo (you know, ‘Dude, chill, amazing, whatever’ etc). Yes and you asked for the story. It’s supposedly inspired by the Twilight series. About Peeya, an orphan but a bright student who has got admission into a reputed Dehradun college (one scene had a tackily shot snowfall just to remind us they were in Dehradun!!) and often bumps into a mystery guy who saves her life time and again but disappears into wilderness. Yes, love is in the air but not without its fair share of peril. The only two bright spots in the enterprise so far - Sukriti Khandpal as Peeya, the lead girl and Priya Wal (the Remix girl) as Misha, a rich brat but fortunately with a heart in the right place. As for the lead boy, haven’t seen more than a pair of his mysterious eyes. As for others, forget it. Source: Screen India
