Rostov the Great great tourist hit

By: Oleg Nekhai, 6.11.2011, 14:27, Now we have more about this country’s greatest tourist attractions.The earliest known mention of Moscow in medieval Russian chronicles was made in 1147, and of Rostov the Great some 170 kilometres northeast of the present-day Russian capital, in 862. In the 11th century, Rostov became the seat of a diocese, and in the early 13th century, of a powerful principality as well. Its medieval citadel, the Kremlin, is a fairytale marvel of mostly 17th -century brick-and-limestone churches and similar palaces.
