Olga Pshenitsyna, Sinkevich Viktoria, Russia’s delegation has presented its concept of the Yekaterinburg EXPO 2020 exposition at the 150th General Assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) in Paris. Yekaterinburg, which is situated on the border of Asia and Europe, has some advantages over its rivals as the EXPO 2020 candidate cities, including Ayutthaya (Thailand), Dubai (UAE), Izmir (Turkey), and Sao Paolo (BRAZIL). Although Russia took part in the EXPO exhibitions earlier, it has never hosted the event. At the jubilee assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau in Paris Russia presented its bid to host Yekaterinburg EXPO 2020. Russia, which is known for a great diversity in the field of culture and which has a huge potential, invites people from all parts of the world to arrive in the Ural Region and to learn more about it, Minister of Industry and Trade Viktor Khristenko said.
