Don’t call me bhai: Salman Khan to girls!

.
Apun Ka Choice: Over the years Salman Khan has come to earn the epithet ‘Bhai’ (brother) from not just his friends but also from fans. But the superstar apparently doesn’t like being referred to as bhai often. Recently, while attending an event in Dubai when a south Indian actress called Salman ‘Bhai’, the actor took an exception and politely told her: “Don’t call me bhai. I have already got two sisters and they are more than enough”. Not just the actress, when Suniel Shetty called Salman ‘bhai’, Salman joked: “Sohail and I were five and 10 years old when we came to your wedding. Why are you calling me bhai?” A source says that Salman particularly doesn’t like strangers calling him bhai because the expression reeks of over-adulation. He prefers only to be called ‘bhai’ by people close to him. It needn’t be pointed out that Salman, despite being on the verge of turning 46 (his
birthday is December end), is an eligible bachelor and has repeatedly warded off the pressure to get married. And we can understand his chagrin when a beautiful girl or woman in the crowd screams out his name but quickly adds ‘bhai’ to it. Not done. Source: ApunKaChoice, Images: flickr.com
