By Sergei Sayenko: One of Great Britain’s biggest trade unions, Unite, threatens to disrupt the Summer Olympics in London as part of its anti-austerity campaign, Unite chief Len McCluskey told The Guardian. Mr. McCluskey said that he would welcome other unions to join the campaign. He also addressed the citizens calling on them to engage in civil disobedience to defend public services during the games. British unions believe that the government is going to save budget money at the cost of salaries paid to public sector workers, who will face extra work and long hours during the Olympics and will have to pay high taxes.
