Money-saver diet

By Natalya Kovalenko: UN experts have put forward a proposal which they believe would encourage healthy eating. They recommend introducing a special tax which would make people stay away from fast food and other foods which contain high levels of salt, sugar and fat.UN experts are convinced that a 10% markup on the price of sweet soft drinks and hamburgers would result in a 10% reduction in their consumption. A group of UN nutrition specialists has produced a report which indicates a rapid increase in the number of residents of industrially developed countries suffering from obesity, diabetes and heart problems. The culprit is thought to be food high in cholesterol, salt and sugar sold in so-called fast food outlets.
