Neutrino's anomaly refuted

By Zakutnyaya Olga: Neutrinos do not travel faster than light. An experiment run at ICARUS neutrino detector refuted the earlier results of OPERA collaboration which suggested that neutrinos can travel faster than light. Alas, no groundbreaking sensation, but still a good story of mistakes and discoveries in one of the most blossoming area of physics. The results obtained by OPERA international scientific collaboration (including more than 200 scientists from 36 organizations and 13 countries) were incredible from the very beginning. According to them, neutrinos' velocity can exceed the speed of light, which would be rather unusual if not prohibited by currently existing physics theories.
