By Ricardo Young: Online from Indiana we have with us Professor Nicole Martins, she’s an assistant professor at the Department of Communications at Indiana University. She is also a co-author of the study on TV-viewing and how TV viewing affects an individual’s self-esteem. Study shows that in general TV viewing lowers self-esteem of white girls and black children, but actually raises self-esteem of white boys. From the standpoint of Nicole Martins, TV is replacing real life experiences. Source: Voice of Russia.Image: flickr.com
